About Me

Melissa Peters, MOT, HWC

With 12 years of experience as an occupational therapist, enhanced by my certification as a health and wellness coach, the changes you’re looking to make are in excellent hands. I’ve spent the past 12 years working with clients individually and specializing in supporting teams and groups. My gift is bringing people together, helping them learn, grow, and find the support they need for a healthy and vibrant life.

I believe in having a sidekick, co-pilot, or wingman—whatever you call it, having support is key. My successes in weight loss, overcoming anxiety, and reclaiming my emotional health during perimenopause didn’t just happen because I wanted them to. They became possible through the application of behavior change principles and the strength of a solid support system.

As a Health Empowerment and Accountability Mentor, I specialize in helping fellow Gen Xers take control of their health. My mission is to create a connected community where you can achieve your health goals and thrive during this pivotal stage of life.

With 12  years of experience as a behavioral change expert, I know there's no one-size-fits-all approach. This is why I believe in health coaching! Jumping straight to strategies like getting a gym membership, using a food tracking app, or hiring a personal trainer is like shooting in the dark—you risk wasting money, time, and effort on the wrong approach for you. Coaching should be the starting point for any lifestyle change. Who are you? What do you love? What do you hate? What’s going to work for you, and what definitely won’t? Understanding these things is crucial. Getting healthy isn’t a one-size-fits-all situation, and that’s what makes coaching so life-changing. We figure out who you are, identify your strengths, and make sure your plan is custom-fit to get you where you want to go.

As a mother of two and a dedicated partner, I know how crucial it is to show up with energy and vibrancy for my family and myself. Like many Gen Xers, I've battled workaholic tendencies that often left my health on the back burner. Learning to prioritize myself—putting on my own oxygen mask first—was my biggest challenge. I’m proud to say that while I didn’t exactly wow my doctor rolling into my 40s, I’ve flipped the script. I invested in my health just like I do with my retirement funds and took my future into my own hands. Now, I’m here to help you do the same!
